Vacant Position: Ordinary Committee Member

Resignation of Kingsley Dawes

On 22 May 2023, Kingsley Dawes notified the Committee of his intention to step down from his role as Ordinary Committee Member of OGAE Australia, citing personal circumstances. Kingsley stepped up to the Committee in February 2022, and has been a valuable asset to the team since he came on board, providing valuable assistance, particularly in overseeing OGAE Australia’s role in events in Perth and Western Australia.

Kingsley’s insights and experience has been useful as well in overseeing key aspects of the Preview Parties in 2023, notably in arranging flights and accommodation for our guest artist, Brooke, and her manager.

On behalf of the OGAE Australia, I would like to thank Kingsley for his hard, and sometimes unrecognised, work over the past 15 months. I hope members of OGAE Australia also show their thanks and appreciation for the work Kingsley has done, especially our Perth members.

Nominations for Ordinary Committee Member position

Kingsley’s position as Ordinary Committee Member was set for re-election at the upcoming Annual General Meeting later in the year. The Committee has decided to seek expressions of interest from members of OGAE Australia to fill the position of Ordinary Committee Member until the position is put up for election at the AGM.

The position involves being an all-rounder and being interested in assisting with a variety of aspects of the association, such as events, marketing, administration and other tasks as required. As the position is vacant as we host the OGAE Song Contest, as well as preparing to undertake reviews of club policies, we seek particular interest from people with experience in policy, event management, graphic design and social media/marketing. You can find a more detailed position description here.

If you are interested in taking on this position, please email the Committee by 6pm AEST Tuesday 27 June 2023.

If there are any questions, do not hesitate to contact the Committee by email at info@escfan.com.au.
